Thea Pappas is a strategic sales, marketing and Real Estate professional with more than 20 years of experience working with Fortune 500 companies, brands, agencies and luxury clientele on local, regional, national and global scale.A Michigan native from Oakland County, Thea grew up in Troy and attended Michigan State University, where she holds a Bachelors of Science in Merchandise Management. 

Shortly after graduating from MSU, Thea joined experiential marketing firm, Team Enterprise based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and was responsible for the pricing, placement, product and promotion of the Bacardi USA portfolio of brands in the top 100 on-premise accounts in Greater Metro Detroit. Ms. Pappas also oversaw large scale sport, sponsorship and alliance based marketing initiatives for brands such as Grey Goose Vodka, Bombay Sapphire, Dewar’s, Cazadores Tequila and Bacardi Flavored Rums at PGA Championship, Super Bowl, MLB All Star Game, NFL Draft and NASCAR during her tenure. 

In 2008, Thea was promoted to Region Manager and relocated to Chicago to oversee agency expansion of the Millercoors client into Illinois, Ohio and Western Michigan territories. In 2012, Ms. Pappas transitioned into Talent Acquisition, Executive Search and 3rd party recruitment functions, working with several well known staffing firms before landing an in-house corporate recruiting role with one of the largest global communications agencies in the world. As Associate Director, Talent Acquisition, Ms. Pappas successfully sourced, recruited, negotiated and closed 200+ mid-level, Executive and C-Suite job requisitions for clients such as Kellogg, Kraft, Samsung, Spotify, Anheuser-Busch, Best Buy, Microsoft, Proctor & Gamble, Abbvie, Conagra, Novartis and Bank of America. In 2016, Ms. Pappas relocated to Los Angeles to lead recruitment efforts for the newly acquired Disney Parks, Disney +, Lululemon and Hulu pieces of business before relocating back to Michigan in 2023. 

After spending 12 years working in Talent Acquisition, Thea returned home to her roots to launch a career in Real Estate and is excited join Sotheby’s by way of the Birmingham, Michigan office. Daughter of a prominent local architect and Real Estate investor, Thea brings a passion for mid-century, modern and contemporary design having been exposed to various Real Estate projects throughout childhood. Ms. Pappas brings an authentic, genuine, analytical, innovative and dedicated approach to working with clients and a commitment to service excellence across all touch points.

In her free time, Thea enjoys traveling, volunteering, playing golf, antiques, designer fashion, mid-century modern furniture, Detroit Lions football, MSU basketball and spending leisure time with her cat Rocky.
